Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 3...You And Me

Happy Wednesday Taylored Expressions Fans,

Welcome to day three as we celebrate the beauty of two people.

Today, I am sharing with you the latest additions to the Little Bits Collection, Little Bits Record and Tandem Bike.

The minute I saw the tandem bike die I knew I wanted to create a little scene. To do this, I used Taylored expressions Little Bits Tandem Bike, City Skyline, Build A House (for the trees), Wispy Grass Border, and Stitched Heart Stacklets. I die cut the various pieces from Taylored Expressions Sweet Basil, Red Pepper, Chocolate Truffle, Earl Grey, and Poppy Seed cardstock. To a add a little depth and texture to the foliage die cuts, I distressed them with Sweet Basil dye ink. The Sugar Cube cardstock seemed a little stark, so I used Salt Water Taffy to soften the background and make it seem like the sky. A cute sentiment from the Bikes & Trikes stamp set complete this card.

The second card uses the Little Bits Record and Little Bits Love Notes, which just touches my heart. The stamp used is the All You Need Is Love stamp set featuring the sentiment "You're Still The One." That song, by Shania Twain, is one I listed to over and over again while I was dating my husband during our college years. The song will always have a special place in my heart.

I created this card late in the evening when I realized I didn't have red glitter cardstock in my paper stash! Oh, the tragedy of that moment. Hmm...what to do?  I decided to make my own. I had glitter, doubled-sided adhesive and red cardstock. I applied a piece of Elizabeth Craft double sided tape to red cardstock. I die cut the heart from the Stitched Heart Stacklets, then peeled away the adhesive backing. This left me with a tacky heart die cut, which I added glitter to and burnished. Volia, glitter paper. The record pattern paper from Doodlebug's Sweet Things collection worked perfectly with the Little Bits Record die cuts. A little vellum to soften the background image, twine and an enamel heart completes this card.

Thank you visiting today, my crafty friends. However, there is more fun to be had. Head over to the Taylored Expressions Blog for a complete line up of designers. And as with every release, answer Taylor's Question of the Day for a chance to win a FABULOUS prize from December's release.

Happy Crafting,

Keia
