Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek...Show Me Your Heart

Happy Monday Taylored Expressions Fans,

Today kicks off the first day of Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Week, with release day on Thursday. I know the snow has barely dusted the ground in many parts of the United States, but get ready to show some LOVE.

Today's cards feature the heart-filled stamp sets Brushed Heart Background and Stroke of Genius Valentine. So go ahead, grab a cup of your favorite beverage and Let's Get Crafty!!!

To create the first card, I applied VersaFine black pigment ink to my Brushed Hearts Background stamp and heat set the image. I then used various ZIG Clean Color Brush markers in shades of pink and red to color the hearts. By applying a piece of vellum to the card base, it helps to subdue the colors while still allow for the rich saturation of color to show through. Next, I die cut the Sweet Script sentiment from Red Pepper cardstock several times and misted the die cut layer piece with Imagine Crafts Sheer Shimmer to add sparkle to the card. The heart sentiment is from the How Sweet It Is stamp set, and pairs with the Sweet and Loved Script dies. The sentiment was heat embossed using Ranger's white embossing powder. A few hearts and sequins complete this card.

The next card features the Stroke of Genius Valentine and If Hearts Could Talk stamps sets. The Stroke of Genius Valentine stamp set is perfect for creating artistically layered hearts.

To create this card. I applied  Taylored Expressions Lollipop, Strawberry Milkshake, Cherry Pop and Cupcake to the various hearts and stamped the image onto Sugar Cube cardstock. To add focal interest, FlitterGlu was applied to the heart outline stamp. This adhesive is perfect for flocking, glitter and foil. The stamp with glue is applied to the Sugar Cube cardstock. Once the glue was tacky, I applied red foil to the area and burnished. The result is a foiled red heart outline. The winged heart is from the If Hearts Could Talk stamp set and perfect for adding a fun finishing touch.

That is it for me today. Thank you for visiting today, however, the fun is not over yet! Head over to the Taylored Expressions Blog for fun giveaways all week long! Answer Taylor's Question Of The Day and you could win AWESOME crafty goodness from the December Release. Wahoo!

Happy Crafting Sweet Friends,

Keia
