Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day 2: Lead Me To The Cross

Happy Tuesday Taylored Expressions Fans,

So nice to see you back. I hope you enjoyed yesterday's sneak peeks. Today, I am showcasing So Very Blessed with My Redeemer Lives and Little-Bits Crosses with the Prayers Script die. Both cards remind me of the song by Hillsong United, Lead Me To The Cross.

I love the new collection of crosses. These additions are perfect for Bible Journaling, card ministry, Easter, encouragement and more. To create this card, I stamped the cross from the My Redeemer Lives onto Copic-friendly paper, colored and die cut the image. The cross is nestled in a bouquet of flowers and a wreath from the Spring Florals and die cut with coordinating die set. The soft colors used to create the bouquet are: Granny Smith, Peapod and Pink Champagne. The largest rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets, is the base for the sentiment and cross. Before adding the sentiment and cross focal point, I sponged Pink Champagne dye ink onto the Sugar Cube card base. The script for "Blessed" is striking, as well as the accompanying sentiments. In order to let both shine, the "Blessed" is stamped in Jelly Donut dye ink and the complementary sentiment is embossed on vellum and laid over the word "Blessed." The dry embossing, using the Leafy Vines embossing folder, adds the finishing touch to this card.

The second card features the Little-Bits Crosses and Prayers Script die.

To create this card, I stamped and die cut the floral arrangement using the Spring Florals stamps/dies in Pink Champagne, Lavender Glaze, Potato Chip, and Granny Smith. The Little-Bits Cross was die cut from TE's Metallic Neutrals. The Lattice Frame Cutting Plate and Stitched Oval Stacklets center the card and are die cut from Sugar Cube cardstock and matted onto a silver Metallic Neutrals panel. The word "Prayers" was die cut three times and glued together. I used a piece of Post It Note tape to mask the die cut to create the white and Pink Champagne ombre effect. Inking the background behind the "Prayers" die cut allows the colors to pop. A few enamel shapes added to the centers of the flowers complete this card.
